- What do you teach at CORE Studios?
- What got you into teaching?
While I was studying flamenco in Spain, I was required to teach as part of the dance scholarship I received. I instantly loved teaching!
- How long have you been teaching?
I taught for several months in Spain and ever since I moved to Atlanta, which is several weeks ago.
- What 2 adjectives would you use to describe your classes?
Invigorating and unique
- Tell us a little bit about what your focus is for your classes.
In my beginner class I want people to discover what flamenco is, get them to dance simple combinations and develop some basic technique. In my intermediate/advanced class, the focus is to help students become stronger and more confident dancers; have more confidence in the flamenco rhythms, improve the speed and precision of footwork and coordination of body movements.
- Do you have any upcoming projects or events you are excited about?
I am working on a project which involves bringing flamenco musicians from Seville to Atlanta and create a Seville-style flamenco performance.
